Laura earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. After two summers working with children in inner-city Philadelphia, she decided to pursue a career in education. She was selected to participate in an innovative grant program partnering UNC faculty and local public schools in an integrated curriculum with extensive clinical practice. In 1997 she began a Master’s Degree in Reading at the University of Virginia.
Laura began tutoring in the Richmond community in 1991. In 2006, she established Learning Partners, LLC, working with dedicated families, educators, and other professionals to support struggling learners. Her career as an educator has helped Laura understand the complex set of skills required to manage student’s day to day demands.
